Horible experience. We waited for over an hour and a half for the food to arrive. They got the whole order mixed up. Don't come here - they don't know what they are doing. Food doesn't justify the high price and there are much better placed to spend an evening.

Went to another restaurant the night before and got a measly excuse of a lobster roll. Came here and was very pleased with the size of the lobster roll, and even happier with the service. Our waiter, Dan, was helpful, fun to talk to, and all around awesome. Also had the Sicilian pizza, which was delicious. Great place to eat, best lobster roll in town.

Wow. Seriously the best food we've had in Bar Habor. We got the crab and lobster fonduta for an appetizer and it was amazing! I got the lobster roll and was a little nervous after a previous bad lobster experience somewhere else but La Bella Vita did not disappoint! For $17 I got a amazing lobster roll in a buttery, crunchy roll served with some super yummy Parmesan garlic fries. So so good. Loved this place and would highly recommend. Oh and our server was great and the view was spectacular! Added bonus!

Lobster rolls are a must, best my family and I have tasted. Bread is very unique and overall isn't overpowered by the taste of mayo like in some places. Also ordered Sicilian pizza which was good as well. View was also great. Recommend to go outside and enjoy the scenery.

Quality of food is phenomenal. Experienced chefs without a doubt. My husband had the surf and turf which was cooked to perfection, good amount of lobster tail which is rare, steak was cooked perfectly. Gnocchi is to die for! You will not be disappointed!

Incredible. After a long drive up there, the last thing we wanted to do was get back into the car. We went right to the Hotel restaurant. Just amazed. Great great food!! The haddock was off the charts good. Was expecting the usual hotel restaurant....not even close........this is a first class dinner establishment.

The restaurant has a 'million dollar view' and a very nice ambiance. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was excellent. The food was adequately priced and presentation was very good. Everything we tried was very high quality. Lobster bisque was excellent, stake salad as well as lobster special were great choices. The traditional Italian dishes were also very good (chicken fettuccine). Desert also did not disappoint, blueberry pie and chocolate cake were great.

Good service and prices and above average food. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of freshly prepared foods. The pizzas are good but the best item I trued was the lobster roll which was the best I had on Mount Dessert Isalnd

Went back this morning just in case yesterday was a fluke There are flies which I reported to the manager. Her response-What kind? My bewildered look prompted-you know, house or fruit? Cuz I want to know what kind. I shrugged, all I know is there are flues in the buffet food area and restaurant which is gross

The food here is great. We ate here the two nights we stayed at the hotel. Both nights I had the Sicilian Pizza. I really enjoyed it, more than enough for one person, nice thin and crispy crust, lots of sausage and peperoni, full of flavor and spices. The first night my husband had the Meatball Panini and thought it was good all together. The meatballs did not have a lot of flavor, but dipped into the marinara sauce it was better, and he had the pasta salad as a side that really tied it all together. The second night he had the Rosemary Chicken Panini and pasta salad. He said it was really good, just hard to handle because there was so much in the sandwich. I had their Polished Hurricane to drink and it was amazing. I would have had more of them, but it was really hard to track down a waiter. It wasn't that busy either time we went, and had a different waiter both times, they seem to disappear for a while when you needed them.

This restaurant was excellent! The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. The salmon was cooked just right with excellent presentation, the bread and bruschetta were fresh, and the pasta dishes were filling by just ordering the half portions as recommended by our waiter. Overall it was satisfying and affordable. Highly recommended.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
